This matrix's requirement for Titanium Crystals as an ingredient in turn requires both advanced oil products and Titanium Ingots. This means combining both of them in the starter system requires one or the other to be imported to the other planet for processing into crystals. By comparison, the Diamonds are relatively simple and straightforward but still intensively processed, requiring several smelting steps from pure Coal. It can be worthwhile to proliferate this matrix's component ingredients because of the complexity and this ends up being material positive due to the coal cost.

Its two main unlocks are the Interstellar Logistics System tech (which unlocks the ILS building) which initially has inter-planet capability within the starting solar system; and Space Warpers which unlock travel between systems, truly unlocking full interstellar potential. A third tech is Mini Fusion Power Generation, an early use for Deuterium power and generally considered to be an efficient source of power to help supply logistics stations. As a result, Structure Matrixes tend to mark the midgame, where gameplay tends to open up and branch into diverse possibilities.

In terms of unlocked materials it includes Proliferator Mk.III, Carbon Nanotubes, and Particle Broadband. (Particle Broadband is one of the ingredients for the Information Matrix.)
