Overview[]

The Information matrix or purple cube requires a substantial amount of High-Purity Silicon products, which most likely entails further settlement on the silicon planet of the starter system. It requires two halves; one metal half with the Processor, scaling up existing production of the Circuit Board, and an oil/chemical processing half with Particle Broadband that uses no iron or copper at all. Both halves also involve long craft times, requiring more assemblers than ever to reach high production rates.

Used for Research at a Matrix Lab, including unlocking Mecha Core (Lv4) (which in turn is a pre-requisite for Drive Engine (Lv4) and the ability to activate interstellar warpers), Quantum Chip (Technology) towards the next science matrix, and the Vertical Launching Silo (Technology) which begins the construction of a permanent Dyson Sphere. Some of the intermediates (namely Processors and Carbon Nanotubes) are also used in making the Dyson Sphere.
